Hi, I'm Dana DeGennaro, owner/operator of Dana's Cafe & Catering. I'm a 1996 graduate of Johnson & Wales University, one of the country's top culinary institutes,
I have authored two cookbooks: "DANA'S 100 FAVORITE SOUPS (But I could only come up with 82)" and "Dana's Holiday Favorites (It's not a holiday without a dish by Dana)". Soups have always been my specialty. I even won "Best Chowder" in Boston's Chowder Festival at the Copley Place Marriot in Boston while completing my studies.
I grew up summering in Nantucket and was head chef at some of the Island's finest restaurants, even earning the coveted "Best Breakfast in Nantucket" for my service at the Beach Plum Café. There's nothing I enjoy more than creating a great meal, which I believe starts with the finest ingredients.
I've been lucky enough to attend workshops by great chefs like Julia Childs, Emeril Lagassi and Paul Purdhomme, learning and perfecting along the way.
